All I-I District Key Clubs in good standing may provide candidates for leadership positions on the District Executive Board. Clubs are defined to be in good standing when club dues have been paid and the club is not missing two consecutive report forms for the current Key Club year.
The following offices are filled by election in the House of Delegates at the District Convention:

Candidates must complete the three-step process listed below and be submitted electronically by January 30, 2026 to declare their candidacy for District Office. See Candidate Rules for details. There will be no exceptions to this deadline.
1) Submit one piece of campaign literature via e-mail to [email protected].
Campaign literature should be one (1) 4.5”w X 7.5”h piece sent via email (PDF, JPEG, or MS WORD format). A picture is recommended to be included in the candidate’s literature. Must be received via email by January 30, 2026.
Submit two letters of recommendation from any of the following people: the candidate’s Faculty Advisor, the school principal, the Kiwanis Advisor, or the candidate’s counselor. At least one letter must come from either the Faculty Advisor or the Kiwanis Advisor.

Official Rules for District Officer Campaign
1) Campaign Literature
A. For all persons campaigning for election at district conventions there will be an allowance of ZERO (0) DOLLARS for the use of campaign expenses. No materials or services donated, purchased, or otherwise obtained may be used for campaigning or distributed at District Convention EXCEPT for those materials authorized by the District Administrator and District Board.
B. All candidates at district convention who wish to run for district office must submit the following:

Email all completed Candidate Forms including: Statement of Candidacy for District Office sheet, Attendance Agreement sheet, and two letters (see #7) by January 30, 2026 to [email protected]
C. The district will produce a convention program to be distributed in the registration materials of each convention attendee. This program will include each candidate’s pre-submitted piece of campaign literature on one side of a page, while including the candidate’s pre-submitted biographical information on the other side of that page in a standard format which must remain the same for each candidate’s page in the packet.
D. No candidate may distribute any literature, posters, or any campaign materials of any kind at the district convention. The only campaign material to be distributed is that material included in the convention program to be distributed at the time of convention registration. Failure to comply will risk a candidate’s disqualification.
E. Those candidates who submit literature and/or biographical information by the deadline will have the information included in the approved convention program. Those candidates who submit literature and/or biographical information AFTER the deadline, OR those candidates who do NOT submit material whatsoever, will NOT have material included in the convention program.
F. No campaign materials, except for speeches, will be allowed BEFORE convention. Travel costs, including food, lodging, and gasoline, for a Key Club member to visit a divisional meeting, district function, or interclub, are not considered campaign expenses.
G. During the convention, the candidate will address the entire convention body during a general session. All candidates are also expected to appear in the caucus. During the caucus, each candidate should present a brief two minute speech and use the remaining three minutes for questioning.
H. It is each candidate’s responsibility to attend all Election Committee meetings during the convention to receive information and his/her caucus schedule.
I. All candidates are to be present for the House of Delegates on Saturday.
